Attention Kindergarten Families: Staggered Start Times

We are looking forward to welcoming you and your child to our school. To provide the most successful beginning to your child’s educational experience, Flagler County elementary schools will implement a “staggered” start for our kindergartners. The staggered start will ensure that every child will begin school feeling comfortable with their surroundings and become familiar with school procedures.

The staggered start will be the first two days of school. Approximately one-half of your child’s class will attend on Monday, August 12th, and one-half on Tuesday, August 13th. On your assigned day (noted at the bottom of this letter), your child will be part of a smaller group and will have the opportunity to experience the classroom routine, lunch, special area and dismissal with a teacher close at hand. This smaller group approach will allow the kindergarten teachers to work one-on-one with your child. All kindergarten students will begin attending class together on Wednesday, August 14th.  Bus riders may ride the bus during the staggered start. In addition, students who are pre-registered may attend extended-day on their staggered start day.

Last names beginning with A-M will attend on Monday, August 12th, 2024.
Last names beginning with N-Z will attend on Tuesday, August 13th, 2024.
     
All kindergarten students will attend on Wednesday, August 14th.
