Graduation Traffic and Bag Policy

Good evening, Flagler Families!

As we approach graduation day, May 28th at the Ocean Center, we want to make sure you are fully informed of the traffic patterns, security procedures, and venue guidelines to help ensure a smooth and safe experience for everyone in attendance.

Traffic Pattern & Street Closures

Please be aware that the following traffic pattern will be in effect on graduation day:

• Specific streets around the Ocean Center will be closed to through traffic to help manage the flow of vehicles and ensure pedestrian safety.
• Directional signage and law enforcement officers will be present to guide you to approved parking areas.
• We strongly encourage arriving early to allow extra time for parking and entry.

Security & Bag Policy

Ocean Center security measures will be in place for Flagler Schools graduations, including the use of a new Open Gate security system (metal detectors). Please review the following guidelines:

Seniors:

• Not allowed to carry any items under or over their gowns.

Guests:

• Allowed one of the following per person:
  • A clear bag no larger than 12” x 6” x 12”
  • A one-gallon clear Ziploc-style bag
  • A small clutch purse no larger than 6.5” x 6.5”

Additional Notes:

• Diapers and wipes may be brought in a clear bag. Diaper bags are not allowed.
• Additional clothing, blankets, and similar items may be carried loosely or in a clear bag (preferably over the shoulder).
• Small cameras, binoculars, and phones may be carried loosely or in a clear bag.
• Balloons, flowers, and large items are not permitted inside the venue. Please leave these in your car or at home.
